Hemp Oil
Hemp oil, also called Hemp Seed Oil is made from the Hemp Seeds and only contains traces of CBD if any at all.
Hemp seed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fats like Omega 3 and Omega 6, Vitamins A, C, E and β-carotene. It is rich in minerals like phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium and a good source of protein.
Unrefined Hemp Seed Oil is made by pressing the hemp seeds to get a dark green coloured oil that is nutty in flavour.
It’s great for salads or added to juices and smoothies. Hemp Seed Oil has a low smoke point so it’s not good for frying.Â
Refined Hemp Seed Oil is clear and colourless, with little flavour. It can be used for food products but it is primarily used in body care products and industrial uses.
Hemp Extract
Hemp Extract is made from the Whole Hemp Plant.
It’s a dark and sticky paste, with the full spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, fats, waxes and chlorophyll that are found in the Hemp plant.
It can be further filtered and refined removing various properties and changing its colour to amber.
CBD Oil
CBD Oil is essentially Hemp Extract mixed with an oil carrier, such as Hemp Seed Oil, Olive Oil, MCT and Coconut Oil.
CoccoMio, we’re just nuts about coconut and only the best will do!
